California | A Road-trip of a Lifetime!

A dream come true, a place everyone needs to see and a place that forever has my heart!  California, you are beautiful, peaceful and full of adventure!  I wanted to embark on another road trip to see what beauty this world has to offer, so I asked my mother, and after some deliberation, she said YES!  I love traveling with my mom!!  So many fun memories!!

We started our trip by flying into San Francisco, the first night we spent walking around the block, ha!! No car in an unfamiliar place, we figured we would stay close.  The next morning we caught a bus to do the Napa Valley/Sonoma wine tour.  We stopped at three wineries and a cute little town for lunch.  The next morning we picked up our rental car from the airport and started our journey down Highway 1!  On our way out we stopped at a little eatery/distillery, Moss Beach Distillery, that had a story of its own.  The cute diner overlooked the ocean and had some amazing fish tacos.  As we continued on to Monterrey, we made pit stops along the highway to soak up the beauty.  We even found the Bixby Bridge, one of the main things I wanted to see on this trip!

Monterrey, was a short stop, but the walk near the pier and the beach was all we needed.  The next morning, our first stop was Carmel, a beautiful beach that allowed dogs, and there were definitely many!!  This little slice of heaven could easy be call home!  We saw lighthouses, buildings on rocks and sea lions!!

Our last stop, Las Angeles!  We had no idea that the same weekend we would enter LA, the Oscars would be in town.  Mom and I, walked the Walk of Fame and viewed briefly into the Red Carpet area!  Our last day in California, we visited the Warner Brothers studio, an unexpected stop, but we were so happy we took the tour!  To see how movies are filmed and to see some the greatest sets, was truly unbelievable!  After visiting one last beach, we started our trip home.  Its so hard to believe the trip is over, but we are so happy we took the trip of a lifetime!!
