Truly a once in a lifetime opportunity! Kristine was born in Norway, and met her husband CJ here in the US while attending school. After a couple years of dating, CJ asked her to marry him! They chose to have their wedding out on the golf course of Greenwood Hills Country Club. Although rain decided to attend their wedding, the outdoor ceremony continued. 27 or Kristine’s Norwegian family and friends made the trip to little o’l Wausau Wisconsin to see see these two say ‘I Do’.

The American and Norwegian traditions were each displayed throughout their wedding. After dinner all of the guests enjoyed a light whipped dessert very similar to what we call Mousse. I can’t recall the proper name, but you are more than welcome to share that in the comments 🙂 With the whipped dessert, coffee and cream was shared as well. Norwegians typically have a small family gathering to celebrate a wedding. Americans typically have larger number and include dinner and dancing.

CJ and Kristine also wanted to include both wedding cake traditions. In American we have the wedding cake, which the bride and groom cut a piece and feed it to each other. In Norway, they have what is called a Ring Cake. The bride and groom get their eyes covered, and they cut through the cake. However many rings they cut will tell them how many children they are having!.

After experiencing the love between each family, and the sincere appreciation for everyone there, I will never forget this wedding! Congratulations you two!!
