That’s Why I am Here Today

I have been going through old albums finding images to use for our wedding coming up.  As I look through the past 24 years (and then some), my memory box starts to over flow.  Where has the time gone.  I feel like just yesterday I was dreaming of my someday wedding, and now, here I am, planning the most amazing day of my life.  I think about the places I have been, the challenges I fought through, the people I met, and the moments that will forever be etched in my brain.

I look down at my finger, and I realize, this is real!  My life has continued, at an obvious fast pace. Here I am today, because of the choices I made, the people I met, and the places I have been.  I get emotional about these kinds of things, I analyze things a lot.  So while I flipped through album after album, I wonder what the people in the pictures were saying, what they were feeling, but most of all those moments in those images are WHY I AM HERE TODAY!  The choices that others made, made me possible.  That is such a powerful thought.  This could be why I have such a passion for photography, photography can help tell the story over again, even if it was over 24 years!  Photographs, can explain an emotion, share personalities, and fill in those missing pieces.

Those 24 years that went by so fast, were filled with who I am, those pictures are an explanation of how I got here.

Stop an think for a moment, maybe grab an old album from when you were 6, and remember what happened.  Replay the moments.  I am a firm believer that we are given ONE life, so don’t waste it.  Take every day and make the most of every second.  Be grateful for another day, and be thankful for the moments that took place over the span of your life.  We are all blessed with who we are, as unique as we are, so be unique and make a difference.
