It is amazing how in the blink of an eye time as flown by. We had some very special visitors today, my lovely sister Anna, her husband Luke, and their adorable little girl Katherine. As they left, my mind sent me back on memory lane.
I am the middle child out of three, and we were close in age. All three of us got along very well, but of course the sisters tended to pick on the little brother more than we should have, but heck that is what siblings are for. We grew up on a farm, and we spent a lot of time outside. I remember coming up with games like city, forts, and animals. Games that nobody else ever heard of, but games that made us happy, and that made sense.
We lived, what I thought, was a simple life. We learned the responsibilities of the farm, while growing up respecting each other. Us siblings relied on each other, for moral support, creative ideas, and answers to school homework. Whatever it was, we were always there for each other. So many fond memories….
I always thought of the day when one of us would get married and have children, but I never knew it would come so fast. And here we are, my sister, my role model, married and a child of her own. I am so proud and happy for her!
My life has been truly blessed with amazing people. I could not have asked for a better family! Thank you for all of your support.
I thought I would share a few photographs, I found on my computer, of my childhood, and a few more from my visit with Katherine!
